Note: Commission staff review human rights complaint forms to determine if they may be accepted as complaints under the Alberta Human Rights Act. Complaints must fall within the commission's jurisdiction, be made within one year after the alleged incident of discrimination, and demonstrate reasonable grounds. In 2010-11, 1,187 parties submitted complaint forms, and the commission accepted 723 complaints as being within the jurisdiction of the commission.
