Human Rights, Citizenship and Multiculturalism Education Fund

The Human Rights, Citizenship and Multiculturalism Act (HRCM Act), which created the Alberta Human Rights and Citizenship Commission, also created the Human Rights, Citizenship and Multiculturalism Education Fund. The chief commissioner services as vice-chairperson of the Education Fund.

The goal of the Education Fund is to encourage the participation of all Albertans in the cultural, political, social and economic life of the province.

The Education Fund provides financial support for the Commissionís education programs and services as well as grants to community groups for educational programs and services that are in keeping with the purposes of the HRCM Act.
