Module two: Human rights legislation in the workplace
Across Canada, there are human rights laws that protect the rights of citizens in certain areas, such as employment, and on specific grounds.
This module will:
- introduce participants to the Alberta Human Rights, Citizenship and Multiculturalism Act which prohibits discrimination in specific areas and grounds, and
- explain the relationship between human rights laws and other employment laws, such as the Employment Standards Code and the Workers' Compensation Act.
