Alberta government appoints new Chief Commissioner

The Alberta government has appointed the Honourable David Blair Mason, Q.C. as Chief Commissioner of the Alberta Human Rights and Citizenship Commission. He will assume this role on March 1, 2009. The Honourable David Blair Mason, Q.C. received his legal training and law degree at the University of Alberta. He was called to the Court of Queen's Bench in 1985 and was appointed a supernumerary judge in 2001.
