Statements, publications, notices, signs, symbols, emblems or other representations
This section of the website provides information on section 3 of the Alberta Human Rights Act. Section 3 prohibits the publication, issuing or display before the public of a representation that indicates discrimination or an intention to discriminate, or that is likely to expose a person or class of persons to hatred or contempt based on one of the protected grounds. Section 3 of the Act balances the objective of eliminating discrimination with the right to freedom of expression.
