Residential and commercial tenancy

This section of the website provides the basic information you need to understand human rights issues in residential and commercial tenancy. While other sources of information on landlord and tenant matters may help you to understand general legal rights that govern a tenancy situation, those resources do not always cover potential human rights issues. You may want to check with the Alberta Human Rights Commission before making a legal decision that has the potential of including a human rights issue.
